Happy Holidays from the CSS Theatre!

Christmas break is nearly upon us, and the Theatre's shops are closing up. We plan to rest up, recharge our creative batteries, and come back next semester to finish off a fantastic theatre season! We've got two great shows lined up for all of you. Our next show is "Eleemosynary", directed by Merry Renn Vaughan, and will be performed the first two weeks of February. After that, we have "Journey's End", directed by Kelly Mullan. "Journey's End" will be showing April 13th-22nd. We look forward to two more amazing shows and we hope you're all excited as we are!

On behalf of the CSS Theatre, happy holidays and have a great winter break.

Meet the Cast of Our Next Show: "Eleemosynary"

Shayna Schafter - Echo

Shayna is a Senior here at the College of St. Scholastica, double-majoring in Peace and Justice Studies and Communications. Along the way, Shayna has been a part of several other shows on the CSS Theatre Stage, playing roles such as Anne Frank, Helen of Troy, and most recently, Mrs. Jennings. She is also head seamstress in the CSS Theatre's Costume Shop.

Abbi Primus - Artemis

Abbi is a senior with majors in Biology and Psychology. With a minor in Chemistry finished and her Webster's Scholar status as an Honors student nearly cemented, Abbi chose her Senior year as the moment to finally make the transition from medicine to education. She plans to spend the next two years in grad school earning her teacher license for secondary life science in a GTL program. This is the third production Abbi has been involved with at CSS, starring previously as the feisty Lucy Van Pelt (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and the overbearing Mrs. Van Daan (The Diary of Anne Frank).

Sarah Jane Hale - Dorothea

Sarah Jane Hale, a graduate from University of Wisconsin-Superior, recently moved back home to the Twin Ports after living in California for 30 years. During that time, she was fortunate enough to work in the entertainment industry as an actress, a standin, and as a dialogue coach. She worked on several shows including Everbody Loves Raymond, The New Adventures of Old Christine, and 2 Broke Girls. This is her first acting role at CSS.
