Everybody at the Theatre is getting very excited for winter break! We hope everybody has fun plans for the Holiday Season 

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from the CSS Theatre!! 

We hope everybody is enjoying the holiday season and is looking forward to Christmas in 15 days!!! (We certainly are here at the Theatre)

The sets for 1959 Pink Thunderbird will be split between the companion pieces. At one end of the CSS Theatre will be the stage for Laundry and Bourbon and at the other end of the theatre will be the stage for Lone Star!

Here is a behind the scenes look at on of the stages that is being worked on right now!

Laundry and Bourbon and Lone Star take place in rural Texas and follow three women and three men respectively as the grapple with their expectations of life not meeting the reality of it. One set us the porch of house two characters live in and the other is outside the local bar. These sets are looking amazing and we cannot wait for you to see them come February!

Following the last show of The Tempest on Sunday the theatre staff worked tirelessly and took down the set. The Tempest had a fantastic run and we appreciate everybody who took time to come and see it. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

The Tempest is really coming together. We have props, curtains up, and have begun doing full runs with the entire cast. Here are some sneak peek pictures from last nights rehearsal!!

The set of the Tempest now has ramps!!!

The Tempest set is an environmental set which means that the audience is integrated around the set and stage so that they feel immersed into the production. For example, the space in between the ramps in this picture will have audience in it! The audience should be able to experience the play in a personal way and that is the goal of our set!

Auditions Begin TONIGHT for The Tempest

Come to the Little Theater behind Tower Hall at 6:30pm tonight and tomorrow to audition for a role in The Tempest! There are 15-20 parts available so no matter experience come give it a shot!

William Shakespeare's The Tempest directed by Tammy Ostrander begins auditions September 9th and 10th at 6:30pm. Pick up a packet from the CSS Theatre and we'll see you on Tuesday and Wednesday!!
