OPENING WEEK IS FINALLY HERE!

This week is opening weekend for Orestes: Blood and Light. The actors are ready to get their Greek on to give an unforgettable performance.

In case you may have forgotten, our show dates are:

March 30 FREE PREVIEW

March 31, April 1, and April 6-8 @ 7:30 pm

April 2 and 9 @ 2:00 pm

In addition, the matinee on April 9th at 2:00 p.m. will be ASL interpreted.

Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students, $5 for CSS students, and free for CSS Faculty and Staff and Sisters. Tickets are $5 for everyone on April 6th.

The Countdown to Opening Has Begun!

With performances only two weeks away, the theatre is bustling with excitement. We can hardly wait for showtime. In the meantime, let’s learn a bit about the playwright behind this magnificent show. Helen Edmundson is the British author behind Orestes: Blood and Light. She adapted numerous pieces of literature for theatre and film. Helen Edmundson has won numerous awards for her works, such as the 2015 Windham-Campbell Literature Prize and the 1993 John Whiting Award among many others. Orestes is an adaptation of the Greek work Euripides. Her theatrical production of Orestes: Blood and Light went on tour in the UK in 2006.
Much of a play’s success can be attributed to a great playwright, and with such a well acclaimed playwright behind Orestes, we know that we have an amazing performance in store for us.



Orestes:Blood and Light opens March 31st at 7:30pm.

Only a Few Weeks Until “Orestes” Opens!

The cast and crew have been hard at work in preparation for performances and the show is coming along swimmingly. This is definitely going to be a show that you DON’T want to miss.

Performances are:

March 31, April 1, 6, 7, & 8 at 7:30pm

April 2 and 9 at 2:00pm.

When we all return from spring break, we will be in our final week of rehearsal before performances. Wow! Time really flies.
